Carpinterians Alyssa Chayasing and Matthew Kliewer are engaged, the pair announced Sunday. Chayasing came to Carpinteria two years ago from Ventura, and currently works in the local flower industry. Kliewer, a lifelong Carpinteria, is pursuing his MBA and working full-time. Chayasing said the two met through their church and are excited for their August wedding.
